This project was created in collaboration with Dario Farina. This project is about peoples wishes. People are wishing things everyday in their minds. Since it is impossible to read peoples minds, what this project collects peoples wishes from online. Every 5 minutes a Tweet from Twitter that begins with the words “I Wish” is collected and saved into the database. This data is projected in a ticker display created in flash and a TTS (text to speech) system is used to read it out loud. The online version has been disabled since this project depends on Googles TTS and Twitters API and there would be a change of it breaking if there is some change on their system. A physical version of this project with a real LCD display is in progress and will be posted when completed.
